He said that we had a good case for a grant therefore he suggested that we should send in our application to the Joint secretaries as soon as possible and he would do all he could to back it up.

Also, as soon as possible, we should have a Architect to draw up a plan of what we needed. But he would suggest that if possible we should try to get the architect to make a plan that would cost in the region of £1,000. because he thought that he would have support for this amount better than if our scheme would cost about £4,000.

We done all he suggested and got Mr Daniel Brynmawr to draw up a plan that would cost £1,200.

In December Captain Mason paid us a visit to enquire into what we required and etc. In January Captain Mason finished in the job of Organiser but we found that before he went he had supported our application for a grant and was told by Mr Ness Edwards that £2,500 had been put aside for our scheme.

It was not until April that Mr Daniel the new Organiser was appointed and the first visit he paid us was on Whit Tuesday. This was followed by a visit from Mr Daniel and the Welfare Architect from London. With the result that we had this sketch plan sent to us at the end of September. Since then we had been waiting for Mr Daniel he had been busy and also been ill so he suggested that we pay him a visit on Saturday last. We found that although he had not been able to visit us he had been dealing with our case and had recommended an extra grant of £600. Now in a letter we have received from the Joint Secretaries a grant of £3,150 for our scheme.
