The following description is reproduced by courtesey of of RCAHMW Aberystwyth

“A ruined farmstead on the east facing slopes of Cefn Gelligaer, near Pentwyn. The remains comprise a very ruined barn, or cowshed, built on a boulder plinth. At the lower end of this is a
house, clearly a later edition, and with a symmetrical façade with ornamental dripstones over the doors and windows (apparently 19th century).

However, the front of the building has clearly been re-faced, and the first floor raised. The inner details suggest it is older – particularly the deep fireplace, stone winding stairs and narrow windows (suggesting a lost outer room).
